Established in 2018, the Office of Center Administration and Management (OCAM) serves as a dedicated administrative hub supporting UMBC Research Centers. OCAM was created to streamline research administration processes, enabling faculty and researchers to focus on innovation while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
We provide comprehensive administrative support for both pre-award and post-award activities, financial management, and research compliance. Our team works collaboratively with principal investigators, research staff, and university departments to facilitate seamless research operations.
Since its inception, OCAM has played a pivotal role in supporting externally funded projects, ensuring adherence to institutional and sponsor guidelines, and enhancing the overall research infrastructure at UMBC.
